• Policy paper
  • Seoul Agenda is somewhat a continuation of Lisbon’s Road Map for Arts Education, as it gathers conclusions from the first and brings insights from The Second World Conference on Arts Education (Seoul, 2010).
  • The document sets three goals for arts education in contemporary society:
  • arts education as a platform for balanced, creative, cognitive, emotional, aesthetic, and social development of children, youth, and lifelong learners (holistic approach);
  • high quality programs, research, partnerships and collaborations, community-based learning; and
  • apply arts education principles and practices to contribute to resolving the social and cultural challenges facing today’s world (recognition of the learner-specific context, intercultural dialogue, peace education, global challenges).
  • Suitable for anyone involved in arts education.
