• By combining rationalisation with creativity, Boy presents a cross-disciplinary approach towards furthering the European Commission’s proposal of extending STEM to STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
• The European Commission’s proposal on the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) 2021 – 2027 extended the STEM acronym to STEAM which shows a recognition of significance of arts and cultural education, but also creates new funding opportunities for art and cultural education.
